Ruggedized Yet Extremely
Compact
As with the Toughbook 27 the Toughbook
34 is a fully Ruggedized notebook, it’s just as water, dust, shock and
vibration resistant and packs it all into a very small package. It’s capable
of withstanding a 3ft drop, with a cabinet and chassis constructed of magnesium
alloy, 20 times stronger than ordinary ABS plastic. The hard disk drive is
surrounded by shock-protecting gel, able to handle shock and vibration, the
sealed casing prevents water and dust from getting inside. Measuring just 9 in W
x 7.4 in D x 1.7 in H and weighing only 3.8-lbs, it’s ideal for field based
applications where space is at a premium.
The Toughbook 34 has an
8.4” color polysilicon LCD with Touchscreen fitted which can be used even when
wearing gloves. As with all Toughbooks it is fitted with Anti Reflective
technology which reflects only 0.5% of incident light allowing it to be used
even in sunlight. The screen is mounted in a damping system to prevent damage.
